Consulting Services

PAC offers a variety of quality and personalized college consulting services to maximize students' educational opportunities.  Our services are designed to help you succeed.  Here are some ideas of what you can expect from PAC.

Freshman & Sophomore Year Package

For freshmen and sophomores, we primarily focus on helping students plan their high school coursework and extracurricular activities.  



​As part of this package, we will:​
​

  • Assist students in ensuring that they take full advantage of all appropriate course
    offerings at their high school.
     

  • Assist students to explore and pursue extracurricular activities.
     

  • Provide an overview of the timeline and necessary steps involved in the college admissions process.
     

  • Develop an appropriate timeline for taking standardized tests.
     

  • Discuss summer activity options.​

Junior Year Package

For juniors, we provide a thorough description of the college admissions process and focus on the student's transcript, extracurricular activities, and standardized testing plan. 

​

As part of the Junior Package, we will:


  • Review transcript and analyze academic strengths and weaknesses;
    develop a plan for improving academic profile or maintaining a high level of academic performance.
     

  • Discuss extracurricular activities and develop strategies on how the student can improve his or her commitment to those activities.
     

  • Establish a standardized testing schedule and discuss test preparation strategies.
     

  • Discuss teacher recommendations and consider which teachers will provide recommendations.
     

  • Draft a preliminary list of schools that the student will visit.
     

  • Discuss summer activity options.

Senior Year Package

For seniors, our focus is to finalize the list of schools to which the student will apply and set a schedule for application completion and submission.

As part of the Senior Package, we will:
​

  • Develop a detailed plan and timeline for remaining standardized testing, including SAT, ACT, SAT II, and AP tests.
     

  • Fine-tune the list of schools based on fit, likelihood of admission, and client preferences. 
     

  • Focus on early decision and/or early action choices.
     

  • Develop an overall strategy for the college applications.
     

  • Review all the applications, including the Common Application and those specific to individual colleges.
     

  • Assist in essay brainstorming process; edit essay and résumé (brag sheet) drafts.
     

  • Prepare for college visits and admission interviews.
     

  • Consider including supplemental application materials such as portfolios, videos, or additional recommendations.
     

  • Assist in deciding which teachers to ask for recommendations.
     

  • Develop an action plan for scholarship, grant, and financial aid sourcing.
     

  • Assist with completion and filing of College Profile and/or FAFSA.
     

  • Assist in the decision making process after offers of admission have been made.

All the services described are tailored for your individual needs.  PAC also offers a Freshman Year - Senior Year Premier Package and a Junior Year - Senior Year Premier Package.  We highly recommend the combined packages as they give us the time to build a strong working relationship with students and maintain continuity throughout the college admissions process.  Rates are based on your choice of either comprehensive yearly and multiple year programs or prepaid blocks of time to include in-person meetings, phone service, online research, and ongoing communication.
